A 3 am start is never great is it, but everyone who has sailed this part of the Breton coast knows that you want to go with the tide through the Raz de Sein. The stars shone, and for the first time since we left we didn't need the heater on. Bliss!

Caroline couldn't believe the joy of being able to cook her morning fix of porridge whilst being able to see all around her, doing a watch at the same time.

The wind was light and although on the nose we covered the 60 miles to Benodet at a cracking pace. Once at anchor, we explored up the river towards Quimper in the dinghy. It has been 2 or 3 years since we have had our own boat, but we are quickly getting back into cruising mode.  Concarneau tomorrow for a couple of days and then to Lorient for the boat show.
