The last 25 miles from Concarneau to Lorient were on flat seas with 15-18 knots of wind off the land. Perfect sailing at 9-10 knots in cold bright sunshine.

Lorient is dominated by the old U-boat pens, which are right by the show site.  They are still rather forbidding, but gradually they are being put back into use - mainly for multihull and race boat building. They were so well built in the second world war, that it is still proving almost impossible to demolish them.

Lorient is hosting the first international all multi-hull show in the world - and all the manufacturers' boats have been arriving all day. It will be interesting to see who visits the show, and from which countries. We are here until 21st April, when we will set off towards NW Spain.
