We left Ascension Island yesterday and are flying
along to Brazil at the moment. Just wanted to let you all know that Stuart and I
are now on a par after Ascension. After we all had a few too many once again we
decided to head back to the boat. There was a nasty swell running on the pier
head and Stuart mistimed the step into the dingy and went for a swim instead. So
this time it was me that had to jump into the dingy to pull Stuart
out, only difference is I managed to get my shoes back!
But beside's myself and Stuart's drunken rescues,
the sail is going very well and we also managed to catch a nice dorado
today, which I've salted for biltong.

John also lost his shoe trying to get off the jetty
.the swell was very large and a series of waves completely engulfed him . He
only saved himself by grabbing a rope but he and his rucksack, phone, camera
and his bread were soaked
