We should start with an explanation for the long delay in writing our latest blog entry. We have a slight power problem, as our engine won’t start and the generator has blown a gasket. Lucky for us we have installed a solar panel earlier this trip so we at least have enough batteries for basic needs.

We are all really enjoying using old technology..so no autopilot, no GPS, etc. Instead we are plotting our travels on the charts, and using a Walker Log. Eat your heart out Raymarine, you are so redundant!

Our showers are now on deck, using a jungle shower bag to rinse off the sea water ( and yes the water is very warm mid Atlantic ). The winds are being very kind and keeping us moving at a steady rate..unfortunately the same cannot be said of the waves, they keep drenching us every now and again (normally when we have just managed to get dry ).

Doradas are the regular catch, so eating well. Tonight is a big treat as Monkey Boy Hardley is cooking us a special meal for the first time.
