Another beautiful day for Nick and I

We left Treguier at low tide yesterday (Friday) morning and slipped down the river to be met by a NW wind giving us a broad reach all the way to Jersey in bright sunshine, where we arrived and moored in the marina in good time.

Sadly Nick leaves today having had probably the best week’s sailing of the trip so far (240 miles covered), which has hopefully enabled him to relax a bit and enjoy being afloat.

James Jenkins arrives tomorrow (Sunday) to complete the trip to Yarmouth.

At the moment the weather looks to be set for a reasonable crossing Tuesday or Wednesday – so we shall probably head out Monday morning for Alderney and then either go on to Cherbourg and cross from there or directly from Alderney.

We shall see, the weather has a habit of changing our plans!
