Well we finally gybed around 9am this morning and now have a course over the ground of 260. The wind has dropped a little and is now northeasterly force 4, and the sea is a little flatter. The days run to midday was 185nm, and even in the lighter breeze we have an average speed of 7.5knots.
We are eating far too much (Tim says its feels like Christmas) and enjoying the warm weather.
Well it's 2am UTC now, and I'm on watch. I just had a little fright when I went up on deck to have a check around - the first thing I noticed was a strange smell, along with a flapping noise almost like dripping water. I put my right hand out to steady myself, straight onto something very slimy! A light revealed a flying fish under the spray hood- that's 2 in two days. Too small to eat so I threw him back though imagine it must at least have a headache from landing on board!
Fin ans Sam have again been brilliant - they haven't done "are we nearly there yet?" and seem to be having lots of fun.
That's all for nowx
