Had a few dilemmas today about which gybe we should be on. Barbados is dead downwind of us which makes for slow, rolly sailing so we've been sailing higher to avoid this. We gybed onto port yesterday afternoon when the wind did a big shift round to south of east. It didn't last and we needed to gybe back an hour later. By 3am it had changed again, and it became apparant that we really should be on port so needed both of us up to gybe again. Now it's 8am and we have a COG of 250 degrees which is pretty good.
We heard on the radio net from Stuart, Kylie and Sammy(5) on Clementine that they have 200 nm to run so they are getting excited. Although getting closer we still have 700nm so just trying to concentrate on keeping the boat sailing well and trying not to think about plentiful shower water, a full nights sleep, a sunny beach and a rum punch.....yet!
