Well Monday lunch time marked the end of our first week at sea, with a weekly run of 1249nm. The day time temperature is around 33C now, and the boys enjoyed sitting in our big rubber tubby full of seawater to keep cool. Fin said he would like fish again for lunch so we deployed the squid but sadly no luck today!
After our visitors the flying fish a couple of nights ago (we had 4 on deck in the morning) the boys have been learning about flying fish and making models of them.
The wind has been frustratingly light overnight but has settled a little now and we are again making nearly 7 knots; we have a number of the boats on the same radio net within 100nm in particular a HR53. Based on their positions at the morning radio net Tim adjusts his chart to show the current rankings!
