We arrived in Las Palmas on Friday morning and then spent a busy three days working on many detailed jobs to further prepare the boat for the ARC itself.

Since we are now back in full intenet contact, here are some snaps which summarise our joirney from Gib to as Palmas

Barbara joined us in Cartegena...
and left us at Gibraltar for a few weeks of other sailing adventuring. We look forward to seeing her again in Las Palmas in November.

Off the Moroccan coast we had several delightful gentle days...
and many stunning sunsets...
Tim did a lot of fishing practise
Mike L shot the sun...
we had a delightful half hour with many dolphins...

Received weather fax charts by Sony short wave radio - decoded by iPad...
which were studied by skipper Mike in the search for more wind...

and eventually......
Tim caught a fish - a lovely Tuna
which he filleted...
and cooked for supper - it was superb!
Eventually - Las Palmas loomed on the horizon - Land Ho!
and Mike piloted us into the marina...
During the day in Las Palmas the sun gets very hot - hope you like our fashionable sun hats?
and we got started on the various jobs...
Mike L tackled a small problem with the drains... with our trusty plunger...
baker Tim checked out the bread oven - but finally we just had to celebrate....
with Mike S's 60th birthday champers
and a lovely dinner at the superb Hotel Santa Catalina...

So, thats it for now. We all fly to UK tomorrow and look forward to flying back to LP for the next leg of our adventure in November with Christine and Mandy to see us off and Barbara re-joining joing in the team for the trip to St Lucia...
