The Tasman Peninsula was an early penal colony. The narrow isthmus was easy to guard especially when you had a number of viscous dogs on long chains (see pic on last post). I take a trip on a big rib along the peninsula. Very spectacular scenery, some of it Giant's Causeway in appearance. But naturally not as good...
