Next stop Pobra. Here it was time to victual and I bought a local sim card.
I do not mean to convey that the sim card required a bag as large as the one
I am carrying. By way of explanation our internet connections have been
indifferent and many nights we have no connection. That is the genuine
excuse why it has taken so long to get these diary pages out in a timely
manner.
At Pobra we met Henrietta and Ian on their Jeanneau 45 called Affinity.
Getting into conversation as you do it turned out that they had been sailing
for three years or so planning, initially, to make for the Mediterranean but
that changed when they arrived at Vigo. It was that pleasant they decided to
stay and have not left yet. One important comment by chance was that the
Davila Sport Marina had a fabulous restaurant. Being the cunning fellow that
I am, I instantly realised that that was where we next had to go. Why,
because the 19th August was our wedding anniversary and to be honest
restaurants to this point had not been great. So that was the next passage!
Vigo had better live up to expectations otherwise I was in big trouble!
