Bequia, St Vincent and the Grenadines

Wednesday 5th December – Wednesday 19th December
We stayed in Carriacou for another week and caught up with Simon and Hilda on Brisa. Went for a meal in the Lambi Queen with them.
Left Carriacou on Wednesday 12th December. The customs and immigration in Tyrrel Bay were very helpful and chatty,
We sailed on one tack from Tyrrel Bay to Bequia in St Vincent and the Grenadines. Quite hard into the wind – not as much south as we had expected but a fast sail to Bequia, then motored into Admiralty Bay. On one of Blessings moorings.
Sunday 16th December we walked to Sugar Reef Beach cafe which took about an hour. Lovely restaurant right on the beach, and they serve excellent Rum Punches! Couldn’t face the walk back so got a taxi.
We were going to head up to St Lucia yesterday but lots of OCC boats starting arriving so decided to stay a few more days and be socialable.
Thought we had solved the generator problem – maybe a loose wire; but after more tests it would seem it is the generator itself. So the plan is to get to Antigua and get that and the fridge sorted out. |
