Nearly a week at sea and still the wind and the waves continue to pound us.  The Atlantic weather this year is not conforming to its normal pattern – the UK gets lots of rain and winds, and we get the Azores high being pushed further north than it should be.  The wind today is from the east at force 6-7.  We had a very wet and windy night with winds up to 35 knots plus, but today the sun has been shinning.  Life on board continues to be a round of watches, eating and sleeping.  Because the sea continues with 1-2 m waves life below decks is a challenge.  We are on our last pre-cooked meal out of the freezer tonight, so it may be bread and cheese until the winds ease a bit!  We haven’t tried fishing yet but lots of other boats have with varying degrees of success – that’s for next week.  Chris is just starting dinner – Chicken Curry tonight.
