We left Dominica after checking in and out for a
20 mile sail across to the Saints which are some small islands south of
Guadeloupe. We picked up a buoy in the bay of the island Terre de
Haut. These buoys had big rings on top which Chris was able to get a line
through without having to throw himself in the water! Chris and Ian went
ashore to check us in as the Saints are part of Guadeloupe. Martinique and
Guadeloupe are French and therefore part of the EU, so the currency is euros not
east caribbean dollars. We ate ashore in one of the many restaurants on
this small island and the next day set off to sail to the top of
Guadeloupe.
