Dany II rrived Friday night January 1st, in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, on the island of Borneo -- finally!!

Position 5:58.1N 116:03.4E ... tied up at the spiffy new Sutera Harbour Marina in all its splendour, symbolic of the money that's pouring into the development of KK and Sabah.

A slow trip!  We left Singapore on Christmas day .... "we" being Jack and Sandi and John ... so it was a seven-day trip.

Head winds, squalls, contrary currents, a bunch of beating, a bunch of motoring into a choppy sea, and all-in-all averaging about 107 miles a day, including an overnight stop at anchor off Labuan Island off Brunei (which had the advantage of refreshing the crew and allowing D2 and Crew to see in the New Year in relaxed style at anchor.

But, if one will insist on sailing northeast into the Northeast Monsoon ....

In any event, I'm off ... back to the office by plane ... and Jack and Sandi are bringing the boat to Manila.

Next instalment -- on arrival.
