Subject: Heading for Zante

Heading for Zante with a few stops on the way.

From leaving Preveza we headed once again through the Lefkas canal. We anchored off a small Island between Meganissi and Lefkarda.
Following day down to kefalonia and went into the marina in Poros. A pretty small town with a couple of tavernas and small supermarket for local provisions. It had however been invaded with a Dutch flotilla of yachts who all decided to shower with the hose pipe on the quay side including guess who.... You bet William.

Early morning start from Poros to Zante calling in at shipwreck Bay. As the photos show, beautiful water and white beach. I guess this is the only shipwreck I will get to go on. Spoilt slightly by all the tripper boats bringing lots of tourists and a big swell into the bay meant we were soon off. Settled nicely in an anchorage outside Zante town which from the outside looks like a very touristy young persons night clubbing resort. Not what we came to see so off tomorrow to mainland Greece for a spot of culture.
