Today I took Maverick & Goose (Top Gun fans will get it ! ) for a look around Sirscusa. We walked through the beautiful old square and up to the fort at the entrance to the town which was a strong holding in the Second World War. We also took a look inside the WWII air raid shelters which tunnelled under the city, and housed shelter for thousands of the Sicilians. This turned out to be a great history lesson for William. School on a Saturday !! Whatever next.
