On Naxos Jane, Jeanette and myself were joined by Harriet Brown (sailing friend) and Natasha Giles (Harriet's friend) so an all girl crew for the week!  We sampled the local music, singing, dancing and moonshine of the island at a culteral event in the citadel.  During the 'goatherd' dance it seemed that one of the dancers had had too much raki as he almost fell over the parapet!  We also visited the very unfinished temple of Apollo - only one arch was built in 500 BC.

Onto a tented beach with nudists at Dhenoussa before heading north east to Patmos with a cracking beam reach sail in a north-westerly 5.  Anchored the boat outside Benetos restaurant (as recommended by Conde Nast magazine) and had superb meal in the moonlight.

On Wednesday we got the cruising chute up for the first time this year to take us to Kalymnos where we were snug on a mooring buoy for the night.  Our fruit and veg was purchased in the harbour off a small van.  Slight hitch with outboard motor but solved by combined brainpower of Harriet and Ruth.

More great sailing with the wind behind for most of Thursday covering 56 miles south to large almost deserted windy bay at Tilos.  Onto Rhodes on Friday where we dropped off Natasha who went onto visit a friend in Turkey.  That night was spent on a pontoon at Khalki which was a such a pretty harbour that it qualifies as a 'little gem'.

Now motoring north to Rhodes Town where Jeanette and Jane leave this evening.
