Tuesday 14th December 2010    Anchored off Koh Lanta Old Town
We have now been here 5 days having left Rebak Marina Wednesday last week, 8th December.    The weather has been disappointing and anchorages at Ko Lipe and Ko Muk on the way have been uncomfortable with the westerly swell but we have now had two nights and one whole day without rain.      The weather is not normal as this should now well and truly be the dry season.

We have been struggling with getting our Sat Phone to talk to the computer and have had other electronic problems with our mobile phones etc. so have been without internet now for almost a week.      Hopefully the sat phone will now be working and we will be able to keep you up to date on our movements over the coming weeks and months.    It looks as if our New Zealand modem though has given up and we have to replace that so that will be done once we get to Au Chalong.

Yesterday, we took a very fast ride in a local taxi/tuk tuk to the main town to buy sim cards etc. for our phones and modem stopping on the way back to coo at a 9 month old baby elephant with its mother.    What a little sweety he was as we fed him bananas.     He was very intrigued by Brian's silver Crocs.

Tomorrow, Wednesday we plan to head to Phi Phi Don before heading onto Au Chalong to book into Thailand.
