All well here on Yacana! After a few days fishing (literally!) we caught a couple of fish but couldn't bring them on board, we are now sailing hard again! so hopefully you should see us move up the ranking again! For half the crew this is our first transatlantic crossing and we are really enjoying it, in the company of many dolphins, flying fish, and even a whale this morning. Spirits are high for this crew (average age 49) on a beautiful 20 year old boat. Aref

Since yesterday's morning position we feel the warm weather, we are wearing T-shirts only and shorts, expecting the temp to raise more and more as we move to the south. Humidity is bearable and hope it will not get worse soon. Life during the squally night has been busy waiting for a "shout", calling everybody on deck for a sail change or a gybe . Yesterday night's speeds making adrenalin high. Rain also in the menu, from drizzle to medium rain for more than three hours...Three meetings with Dimitris T during the day to discuss the new weather downloads and take decisions. This is my 4th crossing and enjoy every moment of it....the Ocean, the waves the speed the gusts.... the whole team. Dimitris L.

afyter a few days of benign weather, we started running into some rough weather patches and squalls, as well as stronger winds. We are now enjoying nice reaches with our spinnaker, and surfing down the waves, each driver trying to beat the previous one's top speed... The night storms were a reminder that the ocean does not mess around, but we are holding up... Sleep is not high on th menu on our boat as she is a powerful lady, that needs many hands on deck for every maneouvre... when the wind picks up we blast the music to build up the adrenaline... this is real ocean racing.... we are lucky to have th moon with us every night, its almost like daylight here...
