Yacana
Tue 2 Dec 2014 14:36
We are closing 48 hours at sea, and are now getting into long distance sailing mode... Yacana is sailing well and giving us her full speed, however we need to work hard to get the speed. When on watch, we don't stop, waves built up overnight, along
with the wind, varying between 18-24 knots....at dawn we decide to put a spinnaker up again, as the wind is now coming from further aft... we are keen to stay close to the planing boats, we think we have a good chance to stay in the top if we take
advantage of our deeper sailing abilities... Large schools of dolphins keep us frequently entertained...Spirits are high, and the ARC veterans among us feel that this is a tougher race...
