Monday didn't start too well. An email from Peter (shore support) suggested
a weeks worth of Easterlies were in front of us. A 1000 mile beat. Great. It
was a pretty uneventful day with the exception of a group of dolphins
joining us at happy hour. Discussions were had after dinner regarding the
overnight sail configuration, do we leave it as it is (2 reefed main + jib)
or to we swap the jib for the storm jib? We knew that whatever decision we
made it would invariably be the wrong one, so we left it as it is.

It was around 1130pm when our predictions came true, WIGGY - SAIL CHANGE,
Joy "Ellen" Hughes was on the helm, the wind had got up. Once again I was
dragged from the warmth of my bunk and shoved in the direction of the
foreedeck, storm jib in hand (how is it I inherited this role?). Fortunately
it didn't take me long as I was getting lots of practice :-)

Good news today, the latest from the weather reports and Peter suggest that
there won't be any Easterlies this week, instead just winds from the North &
South. After an early morning sail change and a fried spam brekkie we are
now racing East.

Finally, a quick good luck message to the crew of COCHISE who have been
reading our logs on mailasail. They are also heading for the Azores and
unfortunatley lost their mast a few days back. Hope you all get there
safely.
