Hi Everybody

Well, we're slap bang in the middle of the famous Azores High. God is in His
Heaven, the ice is in the gin and the wind is in the south, allowing us to
make good progress under spinnaker. We are currently aimed directly at the
Azores, scooting along at 5kts over the ground in 12 kts of breeze and are
still on track to reach Horta on Tuesday (12 June.)

The launch of the spinnaker went slightly wrong this morning when the
halyard detatched itself from the sail, requiring our heroic skipper to go
aloft in the Bosun's Chair to retrieve the errant line. This incident has
been reported to you at the skipper's insistence.

Unfortunately, our luck with the fish remains unchanged. Wiggy put the line
out well before breakfast today in hope of some success and actually managed
to get a bite. However, whatever it was that took the lure snapped the 40lb
line like it was made of cotton and escaped. Wiggy reckons it was at least a
300lb Marlin - but then he had just been reading a book about game fishing.

We plan to put our clocks forward by a 2nd hour today - another indication
that Europe is approaching. To mark the occasion we will be raising a glass
at 1800 new boat time. 2100 UTC Feel free to join us - and let us know what
your chosen tipple was.

Yours, Aye
Andy
