Hi Folks
Well the Honeymoon is over. We have just spent the last 18 hours on a beat
in winds up to 27kts. Not comfortable and I have been told to expect more of
the same.
Andy had an unexpected shower last night whilst on watch when the boat took
two large waves on the bow that came over the sprayhood. B * ** Cold we were
informed.
However Chris our young member of crew , who we have now decided to call Rip
Van Wiggy managed to sleep 13 hours in the front cabin as the boat bounced
of the waves.
No luck fishing. We did get a bite but after reeling in for over a half hour
the fish managed to tear itself off and we reeled in an empty hook and lure.
It must have been quite a large fish, so maybe it was as well we didn't get
to land it.
Keep the E mails coming.
Joy
