Hi Everyone

We are currently under engine because of lack of wind, making for the Gulf
Stream to pick up a bit of speed. The sea is flat calm, it's sunny and warm.

Within a couple of hours of leaving |Beaufort we suffered our first casualty
when the cabinet door in the head broke off because the hinges had snapped.
Luckily, the mirror didn't break - that would have been a bad omen.

We made the first dent in the six litres of gin but had to drink it without
the benefit of a straw, which some crew members seemed to think was a
hardship. Let's hope that's the biggest hardship we have to face.

If this warm, calm weather continues, the gin might not make it to the
Azores.

Regards
Andy
