Just a quick message as I'll write more when I've
been ashore but just to let you know that I've just arrived at the port of
Mindelo in Ilha de Sao Vicente in the Cape Verde Islands.
It was a fantastic sail from the canaries with just
one day of light winds. Other than that, it's been fairly steady beam reaching
all the way and I've covered 822Nm in almost exactly 5.5 days. I make that an
average of 6.2 knots which is not too shabby at all don't you think!?
Particularly considering that on Friday, the wind dropped and I was barely
making four knots for most of the day.
Anyway, as I say, more later...
