On the passage to Fiji we were buzzed by the RNZAF Orion
on day 2 (as normally happens). They requested our details over the VHF (as they
do) at the end of which I asked where I could get a copy of one of he photo's
they undoubtedly took. The voice came back "Talk to Air Force P.R." and after
getting a weather update from them, they were gone.
Being back in NZ for a few weeks (until 5th Oct) I took
the time out from my 'busy schedule' to phone the Air Force the other day
and spoke to a very helpful young lady at the Orion base. A few days later
these shots arrived in the mail on a disc - needless to say I'm delighted and
thought they were worthy of posting, albeit 'untouched'.
