your mast for a guaranteed 20 to 25knots of breeze showing the precise
direction of your next anchorage.
As an aside to this, its other function seems to be as an air
conditioner. The air temperature here at the equator seems to be a
chilly 24c with fog and drizzle. A balmy Scottish summer we realize,
but not quite what we had expected here. Still a few days out of Galapagos.
