Dear Reader.
Here I sit hunched over my typewriter at 2 am Tuesday having enjoyed a splendid day in true tropical sailing conditions the wind having moderated a bit to 20 kts on the rear quarter and with the attendant lessening of the swell to a gentle 1 to 2 metres
We are currently sailing along the silvery trail of a waning moon at 7/8 kts, a clear sky and moderate sea. I hope dear reader you are able to visualise the idyllic scene but as ever, in there are external issues that blemish the moment namely the snoring and other wind formed noises emanating from below deck.
We have not had any major issues to report other than the collapse of The Quartermaster onto his bunk during his watch. His explanation when questioned by the hastily convened Courts Martial was that he had been calculating boats handicaps in his head which had gone into overload so to reset. as with any computer, is to switch off. He was found guilty of dereliction of duty and sentenced to keel hauling but this was commuted in fear of damaging the keel.
I hope you will have noticed the speed at which we are travelling we are likely to reach the half way point later today which is 6 days faster than our 2010 crossing.

Yours
The Owner Controller
