Breaking news : ‘ Cookie achieves amazing hatrick!’

Celebrity breakfast chef Malcolm or to his fellow meat loving matelots, Buster, has this morning achieved an amazing hatrick in being able to prepare, cook and serve his signature dish of bacon butties, without interruption from the skipper Mike calling for all hands on deck immediately, to effect some repair or major sail plan change. Perhaps this represents a softening of attitude from the skipper, who appreciates the dedication of his crew in responding to his wishes, or more a realisation that to achieve such eXtraordinary boat speeds of the passed six days requires a scientifically balanced approach to nutrition in relation to work rate and a good breakfast is essential. However it should be noted that two crew members, one of them the skipper himself opt for the ‘continental style’ of mixed cereals, nuts and dried fruit and semi skimmed milk (UHT). The fifth crew member has a variable preference in this area.

One day old news : ‘ Sun rises as Malcolm descends companionway!’ Reprise.

Sunday morning at dawn was the first cloudless morning of our crossing so far, and as predicted by our ‘onboard’ meteorologist/tactician, the on watch crew witnessed the perfect sunrise. However they were somewhat baffled from where the sun rose as Malcolm who had just appeared on deck dressed only in his M&S summer pyjama shorts, which are a size smaller then the skipper’s or so he says, pointed his backside to the east, and then there was this glowing hot sun on the horizon.
As we are unable to offer any logical explanations answers pleased on a postcard to...

On the victualing front we are long on tonic as the G&T sundowners are on hold due to the necessary strict drink driving limit demanded by the weather conditions, but when the wind drops below 20 knots we shall be  able to damage the store- lucky the lemons stay fresh too. Fish stocks remain high in the Atlantic as the weather has not been conducive to our harvesting the huge catch we usually enjoy, and we will update you with our first landing soon I hope.

The sun is shining, the sea very blue, the wind warm and from the right direction, sailing in shorts only, just about right for December 3rd. Lunch on the way – Sweet Sour Spiced Pork.

Heading west at speed, almost halfway – The Boys ( Will be back in town soon)
