We escaped from Chatham Bay after four nights, and sailed the short distance round to Frigate Island, which heads a shallow bay which leads to the 2nd town of Ashton.  This is a lovely spot – whilst there is no beach, the water is so clear and shallow that the snorkeling is great fun.  For variety, I filled the dinghy half-full with water, to make a floating paddling pool for the girls!

We dinghied into Ashton, which was a very local non-touristy town.  There was some sort of relay running race going on between Clifton & Ashton, so there were crowds of people lining the streets.  Some of the shops were very random!
