Arrived here at Ayia Efimia yesterday from Fiskardho.

Took a while to get out of Fiskardho with all the boats long-lined to the shore.

We had the cast of Eastenders on a gin palace next door and Captain Birdseye on his yacht on the other side of the Eastenders gin palace.

On Tuesday morning got woken at 7.30am to the sound of their various eastend voices yelling and shouting as they were both trying to get their boats out. They weren’t fighting, they just have no volume control.  The Eastenders had dropped their anchor over the chain of Captain Birdseyes anchor. Captain Birdseye, who had been there for some days seem to have put out an anchor right across the bay. Then as Eastender’s anchor came out the water it brought with it the anchor of another yacht much further down. After an hour of shouting they eventually all managed to separate each other. The poor guy who had his anchor lifted completely must have got a very rude awakening with his boat slowly making its way backwards onto the rocks.

Think we saw a Dolphin jump yesterday on our way into Agia Efimina yesterday, Very few fish here.

Here it’s a larger bay with less boats. Have anchored in the middle with views over to Ithaka.

Wind arrives strong and warm at 3pm on the dot. Today we cycled 18km to see the Melissani Caves which is an underground lake near Sami.  As it was a coastal road it was much easier than the mountains we usually have to face to get anywhere. Still when we stopped at a café for coffee and asked for directions the barman was shocked to see we were on push bikes as he’d expected mopeds or quad bikes. However we were equally shocked to be served coffee by a man in only speedos especially when he was standing and we were sitting.

Quite a quiet sleepy town.  Andy cooked dinner tonight – so we had Moussaka to keep with the Greek theme.

Andy has made himself a Soap-On-A-Rope to prevent and further dangerous accidents.

Leaving for Ithaka tomorrow am.
