Spend Saturday night in Lefkada Town on Levkas after parking boat in the marina. On Sunday morning we thought we’d cycle to Faneromeni Monastry as it was apparently a short walk out of town. As usual it wasn’t. Typically it was about 1mile on the flat then 2 miles straight up to the top of the mountain. Arrived to see all the locals smartly dressed for the Sunday service, while we looked the worse for wear/cycling and a bit sweaty in the 30c heat.

Arrived here in Sivota on the south side of Levas on Sunday. Spotted Merlin again, the large yacht that has a numbed of holiday makers on it. The man with yellow speedos we saw last time seems to have disappeared. Guess that’s why yellow speedos are key….so if your thrown overboard hopefully a passer by will spot you bobby up and down in the water. Can’t think of any other reason.

Andy dropped his soap into the water for a third time last night when trying to shower off the back of the boat, which is proving hazardous as he clanked his legs trying to grab it. Soap on a rope for him.

Last night was world cup final so watched it in the local bar with a lot of Dutch supporters, including the bar staff. There was also a strong Scottish contingent who clearly knew who would win as they kept singing “You can’t play football in your clogs, Viva Espania “ (obviously to the tune of viva espania”.) They did get worried that they would get thrown out so tried to sing “You can’t play football in your espradrills” but as it didn’t sound right so they gave up.

Moving on today to Kefallonia to the town of Fiskardho.
