Last night was very bumpy in Lakka after a very stormy
day with the small bay packed with boats on anchor. Andy spent most of the
night up checking that our anchor had not slipped or that someone else’s boat
hadn’t slipped into us.
Eventually it calmed after dawn. Came down to Gaios
on Paxos at lunch time today. Rob had a quick swim to retrieve a bikini that
fell off the washing line then after lunch we put Rob and Anna on the hydrofoil
to get back to Corfu for their flight tonight.
On leaving, Rob did comment that the white smoke coming out the roof exhaust
looked a bit suspect….but got on anyway. However did receive a text from
Anna to say that in fact they had lost an engine on the way back to Corfu and had limped back with a lot of concerned
passengers.
All calm in Gaios tonight so hoping for a full 8hrs
sleep rather than the waking on the hour every hour that we’ve had for
the last 2 nights.
