Last night went out in Lefkada town after parking up in Lefkada Marina on Levkas. Great place to go out as less touristy. Some massive basketball game was on which all the greeks we watching in the cafes.

Left at 8.30am this morning to make it to the lifting of the bridge on the canal at 9am, then sailed on for 6 hrs to Gaios on Paxos where we are staying tonight. In the middle of the crossing a british boat passed about 200ft away with a person on the front bow doing a “kate winslet on titanic” stand. After Andy’s closer inspection with his binoculars turns out she’d forgotten her bikini. Apparently this is the new style for sunbathing!

After we moored up with the anchor and the ropes to 2 big trees an 80 ft gin palace in baby blue with read seats arrived and somehow made its way all the way into the tiny quay of Gaios without grounding. At night it had lovely neon blue uplighting! I expect we’ll see more of these as the season goes on.

Cycling tomorrow to burn off the billion calories per meal eaten. Paxos is reknown for it Olive Oil and in fact Harrods have an exclusive to sell it and don’t stock any other type of Olive Oil. However this doesn’t seem to stop them using loads of it on every dish. I even had a deep fried stuff tomato last night in Lefkada!

Have been busy watching DVDs of the last series of Lost and just watch The Thick of It which is very funny. Need some ideas for what series to buy and watch next.

Andy has failed to watch the episode of Lost I watched alone the other night as he has fallen asleep on the couch again. He must be still traumatised from when he was dive bombed for 10mins by 2 Swifts (or could have been Swallows) in  Sivota (Levkas) a couple of days ago while sunbathing on the bow. Guess they’d like his shorts either.
