Spent yesterday in Vathi (Ithaca).  A bit tired as woken at 1am to hear a loud engine & sounds of chains of an anchor on the move right next to us. The large ferry had arrived. We were only just anchored out of its turning circle. Maybe it is safer to be on the Quay even if it does mean playing dodgems with yachts.

Left Vathi/Ithaca this morning after a lovely night at the locals favourite restaurant Drosia.  It was quite a trek up a steep hill and it didn’t feel too much like their favourite as we were the only ones there for most of the evening. The wine was good though and we helped ourselves to quite a bit of it.

Now anchored up in Sivota in the south east of Levkas. Lovely place with the usual blue water, sunshine, tavernas and flotilla boats ramming each other in an attempt to get the best position on the quay. As we walked along the front, got accosted twice by blokes trying to get us to dine with them tonight (in their restaurants) with the offer of a free half carafe of wine. With the offer of free alcohol , might try first course in one and second course in the other..

The lady who fell off her dinghy trying to get on the cat ( a few days ago) sailed in to here today. Funnily the boat she fell off is called Nauti Lady.

After much time at Sea, Andy has been philosophising and reviewed his ethics. As a result he has decided to ditch the petrol guzzelling BMW and take a more green approach. So he picks up his new transport (see below). As it carries a bottle of Pimms, ginger ale and lemonade (but nothing else), he is delighted.
