Dear Friends

18 miles to go and boy do we smell awful!!! I hope customs have strong stomachs!! Now in 25 knot winds and making a steady 9-10 knots (better late than never), it was glassy calm all yesterday afternoon and our bit of excitement was seeing a whale blowing nearby. There are also loads of these jellyfish which look like a steamed prawn dumpling which float along the surface and appear to have been pinched together along their top edge.

With luck my lovely family will be waiting on the quay. We expect to stay a week and then on to Halifax but we will need to watch the weather without the autopilot as it will be tiring!

So with land on the radar and a nice man on the radio we will sign off for this trip, Happy sailing one and all
