For the last ten days, we've been enjoying cruising in the Rias Baixas , spending time in Muros, a beautiful, tranquil little town...just what we needed after the voyage from Dingle.  After 4 night there, we headed south to Ria de Arousa where we docked in Pobra do Caraminal marina. We met a lovely couple there, Peter and Nikki, who invited us aboard their Bob Salthouse designed boat, Melisande...they gave us loads of advice on where to go in the Rias. We departed then for Combarro in Ria de Pontevedra, where we docked at "Irish Alley"....a favourite of Irish sailboats, and a beautiful little historic fishing town.  Next, we headed to Ria de Aldan where we anchored for the first time at the head of the Ria, inflated our dinghy and landed beside the cutest beach bar.  Next stop was Cangas in Ria de Vigo, after a lovely sail down.  As we approached Cangas, Austin spotted Laragh on the AIS, Dave and Katrina Hennessy's boat...what a lovely coincidence!  Dave was leaving Ria de Vigo, but decided to anchor in Cangas alongside us, and invited us to dinner.  We spent a very enjoyable evening on board Laragh with him, really enjoyed his Irish Stew and his great company.
Next day, we crossed the Ria to Vigo, where we spent over a couple of weeks, enjoyed great Mexican food, and said farewell to Mark for now. We took a trip to Santiago for a couple of nights for Helen's birthday.  Austin's nephew Dennis arrived on 18th September to join us for our Vigo to Cascais voyage.
