After almost 24 hours sitting on the rudder post ,
the “marina” managed to raise the rear of the boat with an inflatable balloon,
dragged the boat back in the water. Thankfully, we did not got hurt when the boat felt, and beside the rudder , we
have no other damage. A heavy load was on the combination rudder shaft/
tube/bearing. It definitely could have been worse. We are floating dry, rudderless ( as we get a temporary fix ). Parts
are ordered from France, thanks to the Superb Beneteau USA / France after sales
team . We are carefully reviewing our
agenda with concern on the weather the other side with a 2 months or three
behind schedule.
Apres plus de 24 heures s’appuyant sur la meche du
safran, la “marina” a reussi a monter l’arriere du bateau avec un ballon
gonflable, et pousser le bateau dans l’eau. Heureusement nous n’avons pas ete
blesse pendant la chute et a part le safran , nous n’avons pas d’autre degats.Il
y avait une super pression sur la meche , tube de jaumiere et palier. Cela
aurait pu etre pire. Nous flottons sec sans safran (en reparation temporaire).
Pieces sont commandees, un grand merci aux superbes services clientele de
Beneteau USA et France. Nous examinons nos options pour le futur avec 2 ou 3
mois de retard.
