Sailing at last again!
Wind picked up this morning and got sailing on a fine reach at 6knots
At last pointing to our destination now and will just see what comes in the way of favourable winds..

Yesterday was a mixture of motoring and very slow sailing- all be it very pleasant drifting along at 2 to 3 knots at night and if it wasn't the fact that we still had well over 2000 miles to go , so unfortunately we had to motor at times to find wind, otherwise we would arrive around Christmas time.

We fixed the watermaker so all running fine now. No bad idea as i had put us on a thimble full of water ration, to wash in  .Good job its an outdoors sport!
Nearly lost a sheave on the staysail track , which would have stuffed that sail , but luckily most of the parts stayed on deck and we fabricated the rest.

Debs is cooking up some nice meals for us as well as some brilliant helming, and i think with 3 boys to run around pulling sheets and hair out ,she is more than happy to fill those roles
I must qualify that as each of us has contributed to the galley side of things and all the crew has participated in all the various duties. Its just a question of strengths in doing what you are good at!
This of course falls down in my case writing the blogs but hopefully you will at least get a gist of life on board –just not Booker level and very far from it.

Can report a very happy but perhaps smelly crew , with of course the exception of Debs– but there’s always time!

For those that know Philip and Bex i can tell you that we are expecting some good news in the duration of this voyage! – will keep you posted.
Love and my best wishes to them

And best wishes to any that take the time to read these blogs
