Knightrider Bulletin Day 14

Outbreak of Rodney-Bay-Fever.

Medi-Hoff was powerless to stop it; one moment we were fine, then, suddenly we were smitten. The symptoms include increasingly persistent questions: How far did we come yesterday?, How far to go? Might we arrive at night? Will restaurants be open? Shall I have a Rum Punch or a beer first? Will the wind hold? Can we put any more sail out?

Friends, this way lies MADNESS. There are some, nameless of course, who are even wondering if the fish shops will be open?  Oh dear, Oh dearie me.

Meanwhile, we are cracking along, and frankly, although I disapprove totally of this mindless wishing away the rest of the trip, my choices on arrival are: a large beer, and a juicy steak.... More later folks,   it’s time for a bucket wash and a late breakfast. Aren’t Sunday mornings  bliss?

Welcome to another Knightrider’s Sunday.... Rock and Roll all the way!!! And some of it is the music....  tunes in the cockpit all day... not dawn to dusk, but pretty  close. We even enjoyed 2 hours of Steve Wright’s Sunday lurve songs.... just like at home don’t ya know? With some manly jiggling in the cockpit, in time to the music. Some may even consider it dancing Jim, but not as we know it!

As I said, we are cracking along, you guessed, wing and wing but, now with less than 10 degrees West to go, which in  Fahrenheit is somewhere around 500 miles. Accordingly, the weather is getting warmer and warmer and even though there’s, shall we say, a brisk breeze at all times, it’s fine to stay on watch through the small hours in shorts and a Tee-shirt without feeling cold at all.

We are now following a lovely concept called the RHUMB line....I guess Cap’n Morgan came this way once or twice. Dear readers, I think I can guess what’s at the end of that line, and I like it!

Now that ‘Rod’ has left the cockpit, the Three Amigos don’t quite know what to do. I was hoping to console them with a fine Mackerel Sky but we can’t even get one of those. It happens to the best of them I guess . We did have a Tiger sighting this afternoon, Valerita. As you knew we would. That, wasn’t in the brochure!

There has been a bathing frenzy over the weekend as one by one, each of us becomes, um, more fragrant. So, as one showers, the next man realises, ‘’It’s ME’’.. and follows suit.

Dinner tonight made us realise what fine fare we have had up to now. Now the creativity must begin unless Fortnum’s are sending a hamper soon. Before dinner though, still in the weekend mood we had a lovely cup of tea and a fine slab of cake. Ah, Sundays.

Just a small note about emails coming in: pls don’t try to send any attachments. The technology with Satellite Comms cannot cope with those big files. Sorry.

The sea is still choppy and the sudden swoops and jolts keep coming but hey.. 500 miles more? Piece of cake?

As for the photo attached, we are not sure, but we think this could be the very Behemoth that broke 'Rod'!!

Anyway, dear readers, another day, another blog.  That’s it for tonight. We are happy to report that all on board are well and happy and looking closely at the chart! More tomorrow.

All the best from Choff, (aka Mogul Mike) on be-Hoff of El Half and all the   Knightriders
