Day 2 - Keep on Running

As promised in yesterday's taster, we can now introduce our other players, in no particular order:
One late and unexpected change was Kit-Hoff who decided to B-'Off instead and leave the Gallant Knightrider, undermanned and over supplied. Luckily for all, one, C.J. Hoffapopoulous, the well known Lymington Shipping Magnate stepped in and on, as a permanent player in our boating extravaganza across the Big Blue Wobbly thing. We also have Chief Medical Hofficer ''The Doc'', Steve, ''It's life, Hoff, but not as we know it''.  Medical Hoff keeps a nice rubber glove at the ready to deter malingerers. So far though, he has sadly, not been able to cure our final player's insomnia. Peter Hoffer-Dommer has not slept a wink so far and his youthful, vibrant good looks have deteriorated somewhat in spite of the smooth ride so far (Not!) and the virtual silence onboard, (again Not!)
Anyway, it was a sparkling day again today with steady winds and calmer seas plus another big mileage day. There are one or two boats of special interest to us also, on the way to St Lucia, and we are pleased to see our progress and compare it to theirs.
From the cockpit there has been sunshine and some interesting waves, as you might expect, with just a few excitements to liven up the watchkeepers' day. Our tally was a brief spotting of some dolphins, 2 flying fish... one on deck, plus one turtle. We also thought that we had spotted a shark but in the end it was decided that it was most likely to be a sun-fish.
The watchkeeping is settling into a nice routine and the meal plans are hitting the spot, well done Valerita. In 360 miles, we have had just 2 planned jibes and  some necessary reefs when we enjoyed 35kts late yesterday. Last night and all today we have purred along at about 7 knots, sometimes better, with 18/20 knots of wind, with our genoa poled out and running goose winged. Pretty to look at and very efficient.
That's all folks! standy for the next thrilling instalment.
Signing Hoff for now, Choff, aka The Moge
