Knightrider  Bulletin Day 11

Hello Everyone from the nerve centre of our world. Another highly eventful day beginning last night with the complete and utter failure of the Hoff’s favourite computer. After a long day’s effort, he finally managed to get the other 2 computers on board working together et voila! we are back in business

On the other side of the cockpit, there are some nutters saying that the clouds look like a fox hunting scene... we have obviously been at sea too long!

It has been a day of light winds and calmer seas and frankly it would be hard to think of a nicer environment.  However, El Hoff has ideas that somehow another knot or two might be more satisfactory so, we were promised an outing of the BIG DOG.. which lives in a bag in the Inner Sanctum of the First Class Accomo. The Big Dog  is actually a Cruising Chute which in theory with nice breezes like today could whisk us faster towards our goal.  However, because of the naughty computer, deployment of said Big Dog had to be postponed.  Therefore, curb your excitement and I will send you a thrilling pic in glorious Technicolor (registered TM), in tomorrow’s bulletin.

Fishing... HMMMM. Well, after the humiliation of posing with freshly bought tinned tuna, the 3 hopeless amigos have redoubled their efforts..... with exactly the same result. NUL Points and NUL fish. However, they are now confident that the moon waning will somehow bring success. Meanwhile I console myself with the knowledge that we have plenty of cans and packets in case of further failure.

We are pleased to report the  return of CJ Hoffapopoulous  to his former ebullient self. Yesterday’s sun knocked him for six, and only the threat of ‘The Glove’ brought him back so quickly. A happy time in the cockpit educating me about how to easily remember visual signs on vessels were fun. However, the explanations are not for polite company in all cases, so you will just have to trust me that I will always know how to remember when a vessel is restricted in her ability to manoeuvre.

Lunchtime shooting of the sun with a strange device, which looks like it was stolen from an old fashioned optician’s, has rendered the former Peter van den HofferDommer into Professor Peter van den HofferDommer, but we think ‘’Nutty Pete’’ works equally well.

As we progress, we are finding better and quicker ways of doing all the chores needed. Cap’n Kitt has almost perfected the fastest washing up technique by throwing the cutlery and crockery out with the washing up water.  Personally though, I am not looking forward to mealtimes after the next few days when the crockery runs out.

Our progress seems to be good and reports that other boats, further North have somewhat lighter winds, makes us feel very sad for them and we look forward to giving them a warm welcome when they finally reach Rodney Bay. Ho Ho Ho.

That’s all folks; we hope you feel as up to date as it is possible to be and keep in mind that if it wasn’t for some inspired intuition from El Hoff, that the blog would have ended permanently. Well done Hoff!

(That ought to get me an extra goodie tonight eh?)

Signing out from the cockpit in the pitch black, Choff and his fellow KNIGHTRIDERS bid you all adieu, and are looking forward to Letting the Dog Out tomorrow. Goodnight+
