Juno

God Bless Juno and all who sail in in her....

Monday 21st Jul, the sun shines brightly, there is an easterly and one due to hold for the next few days as we finally take Juno out of UK waters and southwards.

Nic, Billy, Crabby, John Eustace joined Henry and I as crew. Juno was stocked and ready to go. DYL very kindly hosted a champagne reception on the foredeck as Alison said the requisite exhortation to the Almighty to keep the boat and her crews safe. Shazza and VP were there to see us off.

Our deep and sincere thanks go to all the wonderful people at Discovery for getting Juno built to such an amazing standard. We were very proud that day.

We let the blood alcohol levels ease a little before slipping lines at 11.00 p.m. that evening and following "Outer Rim" out of Lymington harbour past the Needles and beyond......F5 from the east. Magic.
