‘Blog readers, blog readers, this is yacht Juniper, yacht Juniper, over’.  We’re back on board and in communication.  The shipping forecast is still unsettled and the seas are pounding over the rocks just outside the harbour, but we’re ready to go when the opportunity arises.  We really feel we’re on the home stretch now and, weather permitting, hope to catch the 1600 bridge opening at Whitby this Sunday 14 August.  That’s our best guess at the moment so do please come to Whitby and cheer us in.  Once we’ve tied up there will be nibblies, sparkly wine and the chance to catch up and say hello.  Later this week I’ll write directions to the pontoons in Whitby and will post a blog on Sunday morning confirming whether or not we’re sailing, and it will be wonderful to see everyone who can make it. Photos: view from Juniper in Eyemouth harbour complete with seagulls.
