Written Friday evening - I can’t believe we’ve been at sea for over a week, it’s all beginning to fall into a pattern.  We’ve spent a restful day in Wells, which really is a delightful spot – the light is amazing and it’s wonderful to watch the pattern of the tide coming up and then back down the creek.  So, a day of domestics and replenishment with a gentle stroll around the town, and passage planning for a long hop to Lowestoft tomorrow.  A review of the first week – so far so good but hard work and we hadn’t properly foreseen the restrictions of the tides.  I think we’d envisaged the early starts but not the deadline for getting into the destination harbour, meaning that each passage has to be carefully plotted and we’re always conscious of the need to press on – it’s not all sunshine and seagulls you know!
