Noon position thirtieth June 47:44.8N 012:43.2W

Dear Reader
Isn't it bloody typical!!. We have been fighting current for almost a week
now and just when we want to slow down it turns in our favour.
What's plan B you ask? Well instead of carrying on my normal course I have
turned due east, which will ,a) take a couple of knots off the wind and b)
take longer to reach the continental shelf. The winds should peak at Gale F8
through tonight so I may have to heave to ,(Park the boat for non sailors)
Robin Knox Johnson described a gale, in the western channel approaches, as
worse than anything he experienced in the southern ocean. This was recently
when he returned in the Ocean 60, Saga. So I don't want to get in that
position.
Oh I was going to talk about food...................well I'll leave that
until the rolling and pitching stops. Looks like its pot noodle and
sandwiches for me for a couple of days.
Tune in tomorrow for graphic description and expletives.
