Dear Reader
Days run by log 85 miles
I know we wanted to slow down a bit but this is ridiculous. Barely 4 kts of
wind at times and looking at my grib files it seems that yet another
windless
hole has enveloped me and is spreading in the direction I want to go.
Thankfully it dissipates a tad on Thursday. Painfully slow though but I have
managed (Just) to get the chute up this morning and keep it more or less
full. (More less as I write)
Had to run the engine today, first time for 4 or 5 days to put some power in
to run the autopilot. The windvane just cant hack it when the boats doing 2
kts or less. Still shitty weather ahead but I will have slowed enough to
miss the sharp end of it.
Nothing much else to report except its grey and overcast today (not
conducive to happy thoughts), oh.... and I saw my second Portuguese Man of
War today very resplendent with its full sail sticking out the water, being
carried across the ocean.
Lets hope that tomorrow is a brighter day if not I shall start on singing
Hymns................."All things bright and
beautiful"...................good job I'm alone!!
See you tomorrow
Berni
