Sorry for the lack of an update since last week. After three days of good
conditions where we were making over 50 miles a day toward the finish the
weather has yet again thrown a spanner in the works! We now have just over
450 nautical miles to go. Have been back on the sea anchor for a few hours
yesterday as we were been blown north at such speed. Managed to have a good
scrub of the decks while we waited though and they look white again rather
than a light brown! Had a chat with the captain of a cargo ship last night
who said that 60plus days at sea is too long (worrying when nautical
professionals think you have been at sea for too long...) and that we are
mad.
Picture of Jim rowing surrounded by a complete mess of the sea anchor,
ropes, retrieval line ant etc which we were using on and off so rather than
stow it properly it ended up left on deck-not very good seamanship!
