Flares possibly turning up tomorrow and have a meeting tomorrow morning. As the race start was delayed yesterday there was a short race out of the harbour and around the support yachts. Steve who built and rowed our boat in 2007 and his wife came along for the ride and took over for one lap for old times stake. Managed to beat some pairs and fours boats ( 2 people rowing but heavier boat) but took it very gently.Weather been alot hotter last few days but has been rather overcast today. Had a play with the footstraps today so we can row bare foot and not have to have wet trainers on all the time. Tested them out with a brief row around the harbour. Just wanting to get going now so fingers crossed these flares turn up and we can set off, there’s only so much sitting around on a sunny island you can take!
